Leroy Ellington's Sacred Hearts
In the last 30 years, Leroy Ellington has established himself as one of the Cincinnati region's most proficient and soulful vocalists and a dynamic saxophonist. A master showman with the onstage confidence to please any crowd, he has been pleasing crowds as the front man for a dynamic eight-piece R&B, Funk, Soul and Pop Showband.
Leroy has shared the stage with Tower of Power, The Commodores, Glen Campbell, War, Lonnie Mack, Bobby Blue Bland, Junior Wells, Clarence Carter, Sam Moore, The Platters, The Drifters, Mitch Ryder and The Detroit Wheels, The ChiLites, Rick Derringer, Lou Christie, and Little Anthony. In May of 2015, he was featured as a guest and vocalist with The Kentucky Symphony Orchestra in a tribute to the music of Chicago and Blood, Sweat & Tears. He has been nominated for five Cammy Awards (Cincinnati Music Awards).
His new venture, Leroy Ellington's Sacred Hearts, is a NEW powerful and soulful musical group featuring some of Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky's most prominent and successful musicians. Leroy Ellington on lead vocals and saxophone, Mike Grosser on bass guitar, Marcos Sastre on guitar and vocals, Charlie Fletcher on keys and vocals, Max Gise on guitar and Rick "Bam" Powell on drums and vocals.
