• Idlewild South

Southern Rock with a beautiful mixture of Blues, a tinge of Jazz, and pure emotion.

The boys of Idlewild South got together and decided that this year, what better way to honor the great, Duane Allman, but to put together a special tribute show and play Duane Allman music across the country to keep his spirit alive on what would have been his 70th year.

Many of us know Duane Allman best as the leader for The Allman Brothers up until his untimely passing in a motorcycle accident in 1971 at the age of only 24. During his short time in this life, Duane created some amazing music and passed along some great energy to the masses. He may be gone, but he will never be forgotten. Because of their combined, unanimous respect for Duane Allman, Bart Walker, Grant Garland, Michael Dearing, Tom Larson and Jordon Hymon, along with some other surprise artists along the way, are spending this year performing a remembrance of guitar great Duane Allman by presenting the music of the Allman Brothers Band. This project will be for lifetime Allman Brothers/Duane Allman fans as well as those who might be brand new to their sound by featuring some of Nashville's finest.

Keep up with Idlewild South by following them on Facebook and catch them when they're in your area!
